October 31st
Storrs Campus: First-Gen Faculty/Staff Cider & Donut Kickoff
- Come join first-gen faculty and staff to start the week of events in honor of National First-Generation Day!

Storrs Campus: POLS First Gen Student Networking Opportunity
- Add your name to our form and you may get a chance to sit down with Dr. Bergendahl, POLS Internship Coordinator who identifies as a first generation college student, to get answers to all your internship-related questions such as:
- How to find an internship?
- When you should be looking and when to apply?
- What you need to know about the application process?
- Earning credit for an internship,

November 2nd
First-Gen New England Conference
- UConn first-gen students and staff are joining the First-Gen Summit in Southern New Hampshire University to build coalition and support around issues and solutions that the first-gen community experience on different campuses.
November 4th
Storrs Campus: Alumni Networking
- Join us for a powerful evening of networking in celebration of first-gen UConn students and alumni and work on your professional development skills! Food will be served and registration is required.

Storrs Campus: Career Center Headshot
- Missing a professional picture for your LinkedIn? Get ready this First-Gen week by getting your headshot in the Career Center! You can stop by at any time during their drop-in hours.

Storrs Campus: International First Gen Learn to Cook
- If you are an international first-generation student, we invite you to a special “Learn to Cook” session where UConn chefs will demonstrate how to cook a meal and then help you cook the meal. Once everyone is finished, we will sit down and eat together. Undergraduate and Graduate Students are welcome!
